The Vanguard Dare

In a desire to round out my portfolio, I decided to design a fictional product with custom packaging. Inspired by Cayde-6, the Hunter Vanguard from the video game Destiny 2, I incorporated many tiny details about the character and world in this package and label design. I combined both my design and illustration skills to create a vector label and applied it to a bottle mockup. I pulled some elements of the label design onto the product box, as well as added details like the geometric red pattern from Cayde’s iconic cloak along the side. Along with some additional copy and labels, I rounded out the package design and placed the mockup on a simple background that wouldn’t be out of place in the Destiny universe.

As an additional idea, I created a variant of this fictional beverage by recoloring the amber whiskey from the mockup to green in order to match the “Last Call” teaser trailer that was released leading up to Destiny 2’s launch.
